Finally, KIA automotive agreed to modify the conditions for investment in Nuevo León and open its plant in the municipality of Pesquería.

However, they tell us that Chung Mong-koo, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, the holding company of the Korean car maker, was not happy and already considers changing its expansion plans in Mexico.

KIA sources close to the firm told us that Hyundai will move its production at Nuevo Leon to a factory in the United States where, they say, promises are fulfilled.

Following the agreement with KIA, Jaime Rodriguez, governor of Nuevo Leon, said he acted in the best interest of the state's population.

KIA and its suppliers have invested One Billions Dollars to produce 300,000 units of their Forte model a year in Pesquería, with a vision to raise this volume in the future. They expect some profit.
